Bell Handmade Dive Professional

Congratulations on your purchase of the BELL Handmade Dive Professional watch equipped with an NH35 automatic movement! This reliable movement is widely used in the watch industry and is known for its accuracy and durability. To ensure optimal performance and longevity of your watch, please read and follow the instructions below:

Setting the Time:

  1. Unscrew the Crown:

    • If your watch has a screw-down crown, unscrew it by turning it counterclockwise until it is free to be pulled out.
  2. Pull the Crown to the Second Position:

    • Gently pull the crown out to its second position. You should feel a distinct click.
  3. Set the Time:

    • Turn the crown clockwise to advance the hands to the desired time. Keep an eye on whether the watch is in AM or PM, this can be achieved by advancing the hands to 12:00, when the date changes to the following date you are in AM.
  4. Push the Crown In:

    • Once you've set the time, push the crown back in to its original position.
  5. Screw Down the Crown:

    • If your watch has a screw-down crown, screw it back in by turning it clockwise until it is snug. This is crucial for maintaining water resistance.

Setting the Date:

  • DO NOT SET THE DATE WHILE THE TIME ON THE WATCH IS BETWEEN 9:00PM AND 4:00AM. THIS CAN CAUSE A MALFUNCTION OF THE MOVEMENT
  1. Unscrew the Crown:

    • If your watch has a screw-down crown, unscrew it by turning it counterclockwise until it is free to be pulled out.
  2. Pull the Crown to the First Position:

    • Gently pull the crown out to its first position. This is usually one click away from the closed position.
  3. Set the Date:

    • Turn the crown counterclockwise to advance the date. Continue turning until the desired date is displayed.
  4. Push the Crown In:

    • Once you've set the date, push the crown back in to its original position.
  5. Screw Down the Crown:

    • Screw the crown back in by turning it clockwise until it is snug.

Always ensure the crown is securely pushed in or screwed down after setting the time or date to maintain the watch's water resistance. If you encounter resistance while turning the crown, double-check that you are in the correct position (first or second) and not forcing the crown.

Winding the Watch:

  • The NH35 movement is automatic, meaning it is powered by the motion of your wrist. However, if the watch has not been worn for some time, it may need manual winding.
  • To manually wind the watch, unscrew the crown (if applicable) and turn it clockwise. Rotate the crown for about 15-20 times to provide sufficient power to the mainspring.

Power Reserve:

  • The NH35 movement has a power reserve of approximately 41 hours when fully wound. If the watch stops, wearing it for a short period or manually winding it will restart the movement.

Water Resistance:

  • Your Bell Dive Professional has a resistance rating of 20ATM/200M. Avoid submerging the watch beyond its stated water resistance level to prevent damage.
  • Ensure the crown is securely screwed down before exposing the watch to water.

Maintenance:

  • Regular maintenance is recommended to ensure the longevity and accuracy of the NH35 movement. We recommend servicing your watch every 3-5 years, depending on usage.

Avoid Magnets:

  • Keep your watch away from strong magnets, as they can affect the accuracy of the movement.

Extreme Temperatures:

  • Avoid exposing your watch to extreme temperatures, as this can affect its performance. Do not leave it in direct sunlight for an extended period.
